Generally we celebrate those holidays marked with an asterisk with a community get together. If you would like to host one of these events, please let me know so I can keep the group informed. Holiday get togethers don't have to occur on the date of the holiday. (The High Holy Days between Rosh Hashana and Simchat Torah can be combined into one get together between those dates).

Lag BaOmer is a festive day on the Jewish calendar, celebrating the anniversary of the passing of the great sage and mystic Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, author of the Zohar. It also commemorates the end of a plague that raged amongst the disciples of the great sage Rabbi Akiva. On Lag BaOmer the dying ceased.
